Stay-at-Home Order Remains in Effect in LA County

Beverly Hills, CA – Today, the State of California’s Health and Human Services Secretary, Dr. Mark Ghaly announced the State’s Regional Stay-at-Home Order still remains in effect in the Southern California region. The California Department of Public Health (CPDH) further explained that a region is only eligible to exit from the Order when Intensive Care Unit (ICU) capacity projections are above or equal to 15%. Los Angeles County is part of the Southern California region and as of today, reported an ICU capacity of 0%.

The Stay-at-Home Order urges residents to stay home as much as possible, prohibits gatherings with non-household members and requires wear face coverings to be worn and social distancing practiced whenever possible.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has revised its current Health Officer Order to align with the State’s Order. As a reminder, the following sectors (aside from those already part of the current Health Officer Order) must remain closed:

  • Hair salons, barbershops and personal care services;
  • Museums, zoos and aquariums;
  • Wineries, bars, breweries and distilleries;
  • Family entertainments centers; and
  • Indoor and outdoor restaurant operations (only delivery, takeout and drive-thru services permitted).

This Order impacts businesses in the City of Beverly Hills that fall within these categories. The updated Order and appendix protocols can be viewed at

Additionally, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced those traveling or planning to travel outside LA County must self-quarantine for 10 days upon returning in an effort to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. A full list of resources regarding self-quarantining and more can be accessed on LA County’s webpage at
